DON'T MISS:

‘MY CHILD WON'T SPEAK'

BBC1, Tuesday, 2nd February 10.35 p.m.

This is a sensitive, informative programme that shows some of the complexities of selective mutism and the challenges faced by those who have it.  Repeated on BBC3 and BBC iPlayer.

Are you new to selective mutism?

Carrie, whose daughter Red was featured in the documentary, is holding an informal meeting in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire on Tuesday, 16th February.  There will be a showing of the documentary and a discussion session on selective mutism.  Although initially planned as a community event, Carrie has now opened the meeting to any parents of selectively mute children, especially parents who are new to the condition and feel they would like contact with others in a similar situation.  For further information, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
