Many children pass through a phase of being shy though not becoming selectively mute. Yet in both conditions those afflicted avoid social situations and display a degree of reticence in social interaction. Hence literature aimed at shy children is also suitable for SM children.
These books are not produced or connected with Smira, they are simply recommended as they may help the selectively mute child.
